It is always good to hear stories of enthusiasts who have heard of the LP12, maybe even knew about the turntable already, and then up ended getting one. The story and photos below recount how one person's quest for musical enjoyment was realised with the acqusition of a 1984 model. Serviced and then partnered with a top end MM cartridge, the owner can look forward to a future filled with musical bliss.

The closeup above shows the much admired 2M Black. It mates beautifully with the black headshell of the Ittok arm.

Out of the box, the cartridge sounded wonderful. The turntable is a 1984 model without any modifications. It still has the original Valhalla power supply, but with the caps replaced, and sports the fluted Afromosia plinth. We must add that at the time, these plinths were standard. In 2024 you will pay a premium price for a plinth like this when ordered with a new LP12.

Here are some photos of the LP12 in the process of getting its new M2 Black.

Many thanks!

We would like to thank our LP12 Fundi, Dewald Visser, for undertaking this job for the client. Paying attention to small details often makes big differences in the reporduction of music, but at the end of the day seeing the client's smile more than makes up for the effort. This is what LP12 Support is all about.
